Job Description
Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking an
Electrical Engineer / Principal Electrical Engineer to join our
team of qualified, diverse individuals in defining the future. This
position will be located in Melbourne, FL .
**This position may be filled by either an Electrical Engineer
level or a Principal Electrical Engineer level based on the
qualifications listed.
The candidate will be expected to thoroughly understand all system
requirements, specifications, and interface control documents,
prepare, monitor, and update program schedules, conduct and
participate in all related design reviews, and provide technical
guidance to the cross-functional team. The candidate will
collaborate with subsystem responsible engineers, mission
management hardware engineers, and system test engineers. Daily
activities include team collaboration, supplier management,
architecture development and support integration. Specific tasks
performed in this role are system integration, functional and
physical architecture modeling. Collaboration with the Missions
Systems team is inclusive of but not limited to of the following:
Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, Electro-Optics/EO/IR,
Ground Systems and Cockpit Displays.
Essential Functions:
Electronic design of avionics used on military aircraft
Gathering of data, requirements development, interfacing with
suppliers and briefing customer
Acting as manufacturing liaison during build process of your
project to ensure overall quality, delivery, and cost objectives
are achieved
Support integration of avionics on military aircraft
Basic knowledge of design and analysis tools for electronic
design
Basic Qualifications:
For - Electrical Engineer (T02):
Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or
Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 2
years of experience OR Master's degree in a Science, Technology,
Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited
university and 0 years of experience for T02.
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret or higher
security clearance
Ability to obtain and maintain additional Special Access Program
(SAP) access
Basic Qualifications:
For - Principal Electrical Engineer (T03):
Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or
Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 5
years of experience OR Master's degree in a Science, Technology,
Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited
university and 3 years of experience OR 0 years' experience with
PhD for T03.
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret or higher
security clearance
Ability to obtain and maintain additional Special Access Program
(SAP) access
Preferred Qualifications:
Current, active in-scope DoD Secret or higher security
clearance
Proficiency with Matlab, Simulink, DOORS
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
Ability to lead fellow engineers on technical efforts
Experience performing functional analysis, timeline analysis,
detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface
definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware
and software specifications.
Salary Range: $71,100.00 - $106,700.00Salary Range 2: $87,600.00 -
$131,400.00
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to
base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual
contributions as well as allow employees to share in company
results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be
eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman
