history.Northrop Grumman's Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking a
Staff RF Antenna Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse
individuals in defining the future. The position will be located in
Melbourne, Florida.Key Responsibilities:In this role the candidate
will work for the Mission Systems IPT and will contribute amongst a
team to design, develop, and analyze RF antennas for the next
generation of military aircraft.The candidate will be responsible
for managing a small team of engineers to develop requirements,
generate specifications, and will have ultimate design authority of
multiple RF antenna configurations.The candidate maintains current
industry knowledge of antenna technology and is aware of
advancements in digitization, fiber optics, and 2-D sheet impedance
structures.The candidate has experience managing suppliers who
provide hardware solutions and will independently evaluate the
technical trade space.In addition to architecting the overall
airborne network, the candidate will perform requirements analysis,
technical trade studies, formally manage risks, independently
develop interface control documents, recommending down selections,
and participate in Supplier Management Team overseeing vendor
selection, procurement, and vendor oversight.Strong project
management and cross project coordination skills are required.Basic
Qualifications:Must have a Bachelor's of Science degree in a STEM
discipline AND 14 years of related professional/military experience
with a background in systems/software engineering and/or
integration, OR a Master's degree AND 12 years of related
professional/military experience with a background in
systems/software engineering and/or integration, OR a PhD degree
AND 9 years of related professional/military experience with a
background in systems/software engineering and/or integration.Must
have experience analyzing antenna performance including waveform
analysis, electronics design, analog signal processing, and digital
signal processing.Must have experience creating complex link
budgets for both line of sight and beyond line of sight
communication capabilities.Must have experience integrating
airborne electronics within a network of complex electronics and
harsh environments.Must have an active DoD Secret clearance (or
higher) that is in-scope (granted or renewed within the last 6
years).Must be able to attain and maintain Special Program Access
(PAR/SAP).Preferred Qualifications:Master's Degree in a Science,
Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an
accredited university and 10 years of systems/software engineering
and/or integration experienceExperience with HAIPE/TACLANE and
other military COMSEC/CRYPTO equipment, procedures, and
protocols.Experience with tactical/military radio networks and
military SATCOM equipment and services.Knowledge of 5G
communication software and hardware development.Active in-scope Top
Secret clearance with current or previous Special Program Access
(PAR)Salary Range: $134,700 USD $202,100 USDEmployees may be
eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual
bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as
allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice
President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term
