history.Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking a
Sr. Staff RF Sensors Engineer to join our team of qualified,
diverse individuals in defining the future. This position will be
located in Melbourne, FL.Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems Air
Dominance Division is developing advanced tactical aircraft for the
current and future battlespace. The Mission Systems IPT is
responsible for designing, developing, integrating, and testing RF
sensors onto and into these airborne platforms.The RF sensors
engineer in this role will be responsible for one or more of the
following:Electromagnetics modelling with analysis toolsDefining,
specifying, tracing, and modelling requirements for the next
generation of advanced RF sensorsThese sensors include but are not
limited to radar, electronic warfare, and multi-function
aperturesModelling Electronic Support performance within a Mission
Systems SuiteIntegrating the back end of RF sensors into a mission
management networkTechnical management of RF sensors suppliersBasic
Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in STEM (Science, Technology,
Engineering, Math) and 14 years of experience in Engineering OR a
master's degree in STEM with 12 years of experience in Engineering
OR a PhD in STEM with 9 years of experience in EngineeringMust have
an Active, In-Scope, DOD Secret Security Clearance or higher that
has been granted / renewed within the past 6 years.Must have the
ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access.Preferred
Qualifications:Knowledge of electromagnetics in the RF spectrum
(VHF through Ka bands)Experience with Antenna testing and
analysisElectronic Warfare experienceExperience with sensor
providers/suppliersElectromagnetics modeling experience with
homegrown tools and commercial tools (such as Microwave CST and
Ansys HFSS)Experience with Cameo, DOORs, Rhapsody, writing
requirements, and tracing requirements through various levels (from
Systems Requirement Document down to Weapon System Specification
down to Segment Specifications down to Subsystem
Specifications)Experience with mission management / sensor resource
managementExperience with signal processing, data fusion, software,
trackers, covariance matrices, correlation, ambiguity functions,
OMS/OCS standards, sensor physical ICDs, software ICDs, bus
standards, and/or data ratesSalary Range: $149,700 USD $224,500
USDEmployees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition
to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual
contributions as well as allow employees to share in company
results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be
eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman
