part of a hardworking team of diverse engineers, specialists, and
technicians, you will be responsible for the design and integration
of high-pressure hydraulic fluid components for New Glenn's 1st
stage reusable booster. You will share in the team's impact on all
aspects of the product lifecycle. You will develop conceptual
designs, conduct trade studies, and participate in our design
review process. You will bring your designs to release maturity
through detailed design, analysis, and drawing creation. You will
collaborate with cross-functional, multidisciplinary teams to
procure, fabricate, test, and ultimately fly the hardware you have
designed.We are looking for someone to apply their technical
expertise, leadership skills, and commitment.Qualifications:
- B.S. degree or higher in Mechanical or Aerospace
Engineering
- 5+ years of recent experience designing hydraulic components,
ideally in aerospace or equivalent type mechanical system elements
within aircraft, spacecraft, or launch vehicles
- Strong mechanical design and integration skills using 3D
modeling tools
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional
relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident
(current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as
a refugee or granted asylum.Desired:
- Experience in pressure vessel design and qualification
- Experience in aerospace hydraulic fluid system component design
or system architecture design
- Experience in design of hydraulic valves or valve
manifolds
- Experience in requirements development, implementation,
verification, system integration, qualification and release
- Experience in spacecraft systems or component design
- Experience in Creo (Pro-E) and Windchill PLM
- Experience in structural FEA using ANSYS, NASTRAN or similar
