part of a diverse and hardworking team of Quality employees, you
will review and improve work orders for completeness, coach and
mentor manufacturing on Quality requirements, develop and approve
first article inspections, review and approve nonconformances and
determine impact to production, lead the selection and execution of
continuous improvement activities (root cause analyses), develop
site-to-site work plans and work transfers, lead and/or support
Corrective Action Boards, and lead and/or support Quality Reviews,
such as pre-ship, pedigree, and hardware acceptance reviews. You
will share in the team's impact on all aspects of the manufacturing
and launch of New Glenn hardware.We are looking for someone to
apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment
to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for
our mission and vision is required!Qualifications:
- Minimum of a B.S. in Engineering/Science or American Society of
Quality, Certified Quality Engineer certification
- Quality assurance experience in production environment.
- Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO9001 Quality Management System
and/or related quality systems and programs
- Ability to support manufacturing schedules for second shift
operations throughout the week
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional
relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident
(current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as
a refugee or granted asylum.Desired:
- Aerospace, space launch, military or commercial aviation
experience
- Relevant experience in a start-up environment, transitioning a
product from development, through production to operations
- Quality Management System audit experience
- Relevant experience in AS9145, Advance Product Quality Planning
and Production Part Approval Process
- Quality performance measurement analysis capabilities
(SPC)
- Six Sigma Green Belt / Black Belt, or comparable
