Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking an Associate Industrial Engineer/Industrial Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Melbourne, Florida. The Industrial Engineer analyzes and designs sequence of operations and work flow to improve efficiencies in plant and production facilities and equipment layouts; and establishes methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel. May establish or assist in establishing accident prevention measures and may manage training programs for personnel concerning all phases of production operations. Conducts studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems. On the basis of these studies, develops and implements plans and programs for facility modifications and revisions to operating methods. May assist facilities engineers in the planning and design of facilities. Responsibilities for this position include (but are not limited to): Interface and monitor internal and external shop activity with regards to fabrication, assembly, and installation efforts. Provide technical evaluations on quotes for changes to scope of work. Develop and monitor multiple aspects of a production schedule from engineering through delivery. Various reporting methodologies are utilized on a daily basis with the need to summarize this data to multiple levels of management and leadership. Being able to identify and communicate critical path and constraints is key to success. Basic Qualifications for Associate Industrial Engineer: Bachelor's degree in a science, technology, engineering, mathematics (STEM) field and 0 years of industrial engineering related experience OR Associates Degree in a STEM-related field with 2 years experience in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering Must have ability to obtain and maintain DoD secret or top secret clearance within a reasonable amount of time as required by the business Must have ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR)within a reasonable amount of time as required by the business. Proficiency in MS Project, MS PowerPoint and MS Excel (skilled at Advanced Formulas, Pivot Tables, etc.) Basic Qualifications for Industrial Engineer: Bachelor's degree in a science, technology, engineering, mathematics (STEM) field and 2 years of industrial engineering related experience OR Masters Degree in a STEM-related field with 0 years experience in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering Must have ability to obtain and maintain DoD secret or top secret clearance within a reasonable amount of time as required by the business Must have ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR)within a reasonable amount of time as required by the business. Proficiency in MS Project, MS PowerPoint and MS Excel (skilled at Advanced Formulas, Pivot Tables, etc.) Preferred Qualifications: Experience with manpower planning Experience interfacing with suppliers and leadership. Salary Range 2: $64,600 USD - $97,000 USD Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
