Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history. Northrop Grumman is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic 2 to support our King Air 200 aircraft at our Melbourne, FL facility. This position will also occasionally support our Corporate Jets that transit the MLB Facility. This position will work alongside a fellow technician performing recovery & postflight/preflight inspection duties, scheduled & unscheduled maintenance in accordance with manufacturer's technical specifications and Federal Aviation Administration regulations. The position will maintain required FAA records, manuals, inspection forms, and other forms of technical data, both in paper and computer-based formats. This position will work 2nd shift (3:30 PM ET - 12:00PM ET), Monday-Thursday with the possibility of working earlier hours on Friday's as the aircraft normally operates Monday-Thursday. The position will require the ability to work flexible hours, occasional overtime, alternate scheduling and weekends as needed to support the operation. Basic Qualifications: - High School diploma or equivalent
- Current FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificates - Must have own tools necessary for the position
- 2 - 3 years turboprop/jet aircraft maintenance experience - Ability to occasionally lift 60 lbs - Ability to occasionally work at heights at or about 20 feet (with proper fall protection)
- State Issued Driver's License
- Eligibility to secure and maintain airport issued security badge
- Eligibility to secure and maintain a gov't issued passport
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- Proficiency with CMP and CAMP Maintenance Tracking programs - Outstanding communication skills, the ability to function within a team-oriented environment Preferred Qualifications: - Factory/OEM level maintenance training & experience on the King Air 200/300 aircraft - Factory/OEM level maintenance training & experience on the Gulfstream V/550 & Cessna 680 aircraft - FAA Inspection Authorization certification
- Prior FAA Part 145 Repair Station experience Salary Range: $43,200 USD - $72,000 USD Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
