Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for an Associate Quality Engineer/ Quality Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Melbourne, FL.Engineering Assurance, Quality Engineer - Support the development, modification and application of the Quality/Engineering Assurance (EA) principles and processes for the purpose of reducing and/or eliminating escapes or omissions linked to design early in the lifecycle to ensure design integrity and robustness while maintaining efficiency. This role requires collaboration with Engineering, Manufacturing, Program Management and many other functions to ensure EA and quality standards are met.This job function requires and extensive review of engineering drawings along with equipment inspection and test support to evaluate the precision and accuracy of products being developed. This may include geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), maintainability and producibility aspects of a design. Candidate must also support various design reviews and inspections of the testing processes, mechanisms, systems integration and requirements verification. Extensive review of supplier documentation to verify compliance to quality standards and contractual requirements as they pertain to the equipment being procured. Performs quality assurance verification on systems and equipment designed, built and procured to ensure design parameters and materials meet required standards and specifications. Good organizational and leadership skills needed to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and to work closely with the IPT leaders and design group. Strong computer skills necessary, CAD experience required along with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. This Position may be filled at a higher level Basic Qualifications: Associate Quality Engineer

  • Bachelor Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with 0 years of experience in Quality or Quality Assurance
  • An Active, In-scope, DoD Secret Security Clearance with the last investigation occurring within the last five (5) years as well as obtain Program Special Access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
  • Experience with CAD software (i.e., AutoCAD, CATIA, Solid Works, NX) and MS Office SuiteBasic Qualifications: Quality Engineer
    • Bachelor Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with 2 years of experience in Quality OR a Master's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with 0 years of experience in Quality Assurance or related field
    • An Active, In-scope, DoD Secret Security Clearance with the last investigation occurring within the last five (5) years as well as obtain Program Special Access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
    • Experience with CAD software (i.e., AutoCAD, CATIA, Solid Works, NX) and MS Office SuitePreferred Qualifications:
      • Strong Organizational and Leadership Skills
      • Experience with Supplier Engagement
      • Experience with Root Cause/Corrective Action
      • Experience with Material Review Board
      • Experience with Laboratory Operations
      • Active DoD Secret or Top Secret level clearance Salary Range: $53,500 USD - $80,300 USD Salary Range 2: $64,600 USD - $97,000 USD Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
