Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Staff
Electronic Warfare Lead Engineer to join our team of qualified,
diverse individuals within our Electronics & Payloads organization.
This role is located in Melbourne FL. This role is for an
Electronic Warfare (EW) Responsible Engineer (RE) or EW Principal
reporting to the RF Sensors & Effects Lead within the Mission
Systems IPT. Key Responsibilities: --- Knowledge of the
industry-leading EW suppliers' products, low-observables (LO)
antennas, and back-end processing and Mission Management. ---
Responsible for digitally modeling an EW subsystem architecture,
technical point of contact for EW suppliers, performing trade
studies on various antenna layouts and subsystem architectures, and
making recommendations to the Mission System IPT Lead. ---
Oversight of EW colleagues as the MS IPT grows. The ideal candidate
has a strong background in electromagnetics, digital and analog
signal processing, Electronic Support Measures (ESM) subsystems,
interferometry, phase difference of arrival, time difference of
arrival, other geolocation techniques, Electronic Attack (EA)
subsystems, EW techniques, antennas, antenna patterns, as-installed
antenna effects, RF link budgets, RF propagation, and power/cooling
constraints when working on tactical airborne platforms. The
candidate will also write and amend requirements, specifications,
acceptance test procedures, and plan lab and flight tests to reduce
risk on current- and next-gen platforms. Candidate must be
proficient in MATLAB. EW Subsystem test, RCS testing, RF testing,
and/or modeling & simulation related to EW is a plus. Basic
Qualifications: --- Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in a
STEM discipline AND 14 years of related professional/military
experience in Electronics Engineering to include a background in
ESM/EW/EA, OR a Master's degree AND 12 years of related
professional/military experience in Electronics Engineering to
include a background in ESM/EW/EA, OR a Ph.D. AND 9 years of
related professional/military experience in Electronics Engineering
to include a background in ESM/EW/EA. --- Must have an active DoD
Secret or higher clearance (with a background investigation
completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into
Continuous Evaluation). --- Must have the ability to obtain and
maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance. Preferred
Qualifications: --- Active in-scope Top Secret clearance with
current or previous Special Program Access (SAP) Salary Range:
$134,700 USD - $202,100 USD Employees may be eligible for a
discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are
designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow
employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President
or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In
