ULA is hiring a Facility Corrosion Engineer 2 for our Cape
Canaveral, FL location. Relocation assistance available.

Your Role: What you'll be doing
Planning and execution of bi-annual corrosion control walk-downs at
both CCSFS and VSFB
Authoring and execution of annual SOW for corrosion control for
both CCSFS and VSFB
Support and supervision of corrosion control contractor
personnel
Authoring supplemental corrosion control statements of work, work
orders or purchase requests as required
Review of ULA's corrosion control methods and materials to ensure
best practices are being followed
Review of planned installations to ensure best corrosion control
practices are being used
Perform checking and administrative functions for release of
drawings, procedures, SOWs, and change orders
Verbal and written presentations on the current corrosion control
status
Anticipated 25% travel required
Fieldwork a significant portion of work responsibility
Your Background: What education and experience you'll need
Requires a bachelor's degree and 2 - 6 years of experience.
Your Background: What skills you'll need
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Structural, or Materials
engineering; willing to consider other STEM (Science, Technology,
Engineering, Mathematics) degree with additional levels of industry
field experience
2 - 6 years of relevant experience
Proficient with Microsoft Office software suite
Ability to effectively coordinate work with internal ULA teammates
and external contractors
NACE inspector or other corrosion control certification is
preferred
Corrosion control experience in marine environment is preferred
Corrosion control experience at an operations, mission critical
facility is preferred
Facility repair, maintenance and fabrication experience is
preferred
Structural Engineering Experience is preferred
Construction Management experience is preferred
Experience managing/supervising a working crew is preferred
Experience writing/performing preventative maintenance procedures
is preferred
Working knowledge of electrical power equipment is preferred
Proficient with AutoCAD 2D is preferred
Proficient with Microsoft Project is preferred
Experience writing statements of work and leading projects is
preferred
