Northrop Grumman's Aeronautics Systems has an opening for an Engineer Reliability to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Melbourne, FL.The Engineer will be assigned work in the Logistics & Modernization organization performing System Reliability & Maintainability (R&M) Engineering Analysis. Candidate will be responsible for establishing, monitoring and verifying subsystem R&M performance requirements for all design changes and new development efforts to ensure that R&M program requirements are achieved. The primary responsibility of the position will be reliability, maintainability, and testability.Essential Functions:
  • Perform R&M allocations and predictions
  • Develop Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) analysis
  • Perform Built In Test (BIT) testability analysis
  • Develop mission reliability analysis
  • Experience with Failure Reporting Analysis and Corrective Action System (FRACAS)
  • Experience with maintainability demonstrations
  • Experience with Highly Accelerated Life Testing (HALT), Reliability Growth Testing (RGT), and Environmental Stress Screening (ESS)
  • Liaison with Integrated Product Teams (IPT) and suppliers for the R&M of assigned subsystemsThe selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels.Basic Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) from an accredited university and 2 years of engineering experience OR a Master's Degree in Engineering and 0 years of engineering experience
    • Must have experience in Reliability and Maintainability discipline
    • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Security Clearance and Special Program Access (PAR/SAP)Preferred Qualifications:
      • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering
      • Experience in Reliability and Maintainability discipline
      • Excellent 2-way communication skills (upward and downward)
      • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management
      • Active, In scope DOD Secret Security Clearance with current program Special Access

        Salary Range: 64600 - 97000

        Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
