This position will be located in Melbourne, Fl.This Life Cycle Cost Engineer will support various programs in the very early phase of development, where strategy is developed to shape a major capture. It requires technical knowledge and economic acumen to formulate LCC analysis approaches and methods to provide senior leadership the ability to make actionable decisions in a very agile manner.Role and Responsibilities:This position is responsible for performing Life Cycle Cost (LCC), Design to Cost (DTC), Cost as an Independent Variable (CAIV) and Cost Reduction Initiative (CRI) analysis. Analytical tools/approaches leveraged include commercial/Gov't parametric models, such as PRICE and SEER as well as custom developed parametrics determining correlation between operational or technical requirements and cost. The position requires experience developing complex cost models using advanced cost estimating techniques as well as excellent interpersonal skills required to solicit input, synthesize data, and communicate results to various levels of leadership. Leadership skill is required to lead and mentor more junior team members and interns. The analysis performed is done in a non-advocacy manner representing the organization as an "honest broker"-- - providing credible cost analysis.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 9 years of engineering experience OR Master's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 7 years of engineering experience OR PhD in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 4 years of engineering experienceActive DoD Secret security clearance with a background investigation date within 6 yearsBe able to obtain and maintain Special Program Access as a condition of employment (prior to start)Have experience with DoD Acquisition principles and guides; i.e. MIL-STD 881E, O&S CAPE Guide, DAU Guide on Systems Engineering, etc.Have experience developing cost research models and cost risks analysis for complex systems aerospace systemsHave experience in performing cost estimating activities such as cost analysis, statistical analysis, WBS development, and risk analysisPreferred Qualifications:Experience in Cost Data Analysis and Predictive Analytics; Tableau & AlteryxExperience working with data visualization software (e.g., MS Excel including macros, Tableau Desktop, QlikView, MS Power BI, etc.) or any other data analysis software applicationsExperience with data mining/analytics programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, or BAWorking knowledge of cost parametric tools: ACEIT, SEER from Galorath and PRICE Systems & AnalyticsExperience working with SEER-H, VBA and PRICE TruePlanningExperience using Microsoft Office suite of toolsExcellent verbal and written communications skills across multiple levelsSalary Range: 108400 - 162600Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
