As the FBM Parts, Materials and Processes (PMP) Manager at Lockheed Martin Space, you have an immediate impact in shaping the organization 's future. This is an opportunity to lead a dynamic PMP team of engineers with expertise in both active and passive electronic piece parts, hybrids, electronic subassemblies, printed wiring board/circuit card assemblies, metals, composites, coatings and propulsion materials to solve a variety of challenges in both a laboratory and manufacturing environment, that will challenge you to learn and grow in your career. Drawing upon previous leadership experience and your own technical expertise you will help your team overcome challenges and build the organizational talent to solve the challenges of the future.

In this role you will:

- Exercise your expertise in the application of all parts, materials, and processes disciplines in support of the FBM D5 missile development, production, sustainment and future next generation missile programs.

- Assign Parts, Materials and Processes (M&P) personnel to technical engineering assignments

- Lead the resolution of critical issues

- Perform functional management tasks including coaching, group & individual development, and performance management for your team

- Apply Full Spectrum Leadership principles to help the team adjust to a new organizational paradigm.

We're looking for:

- A self-starter who implements solutions to technical issues

- A motivated individual who's able to work closely within a technically diverse team to resolve technical issues

- Someone with the ability to handle shifting priorities, multiple projects and timeline pressure to meet deadlines

- Someone comfortable with communicating in a variety of forums

- Technical leadership of diverse teams or projects

- Proven ability to communicate key project information or recommendations to Program management and /or Customers

- Travel is required for this position

If selected you will need to obtain a DOD security clearance. US Citizenship required.

Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelor 's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Materials Science and Engineering, Physics, or a related engineering degree

* Demonstrated communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical and programmatic issues to subordinates, peers, management and customers.

* Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships within program, with other enterprise organizations, and with customer personnel

* Experience in leading a team as a team/IPT leader or coded manager

* Experience hiring and mentoring employees

* Demonstrated ability to understand and interpret complex technical requirements and to develop technical plans/solutions to satisfy those requirements

* Ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities in a highly dynamic, high tempo environment.

* Demonstrated Systems Thinking applied to problem resolution and process improvements.
Desired Skills:
*Technical experience in Parts and/or Materials & Processes

*Experience as a Lockheed Martin coded manager or technical lead, particularly in engineering and/or program/project management

*Experience working closely with subcontractors

*Experience with part procurement, qualification and traceability issues

*Familiarity with configuration control and quality control tools and systems (e.g. EPDM, non-conformances, and VRICs)

*Experience interfacing with Navy (preferably FBM) customers and senior Lockheed Martin leadership at the L-7 level or above

*Demonstrated ability to build, maintain and coach a team, which includes the execution and evolution of a business rhythm that effectively communicates and achieves program objectives and priorities.

* LM 21 greenbelt or blackbelt

* Demonstrated experience with change management and strategic vision to define and implement process improvements and program efficiencies

* Experience with proposals, budgets and control account management
