Our Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking an Supply Chain Procurement Specialist (Buyer Level 2/3) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will support our Global Supply Chain team and will be located in Melbourne, Florida. Position is based from our Melbourne, Florida office and provides an option for a hybrid-telecommute schedule. In office days are currently Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday to provide for collaboration and integration across the team. Excellent Customer Support Essential Functions: Sources and procures goods and services of a commodity nature from many suppliers
Initiates Requests for Quotations and Proposals and receives same, analyzing proposed pricing from potential suppliers
In conjunction with quality organization, evaluates and monitors supplier quality and reliability, as well as supplier ability to support required delivery schedules
Works with internal customers to ensure specifications are appropriate for the services or products required
Identifies opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency and manage risk through targeted negotiations
Issues purchase orders
Manages performance of purchase orders, ensures compliance with all public law requirements as well as company (and business) policies and procedures including import/export regulations
Employs sound business practices and assesses supplier performance as part of follow-up activities
Ensures that appropriate documentation is provided to logistics/transportation & warehouse organization so that proper receipt is recorded
Reviews and approves supplier payment as needed
Utilizes process tools such as Lean Six Sigma with suppliers to drive quality, efficiency and continuous improvement *This position may be filled at either the Level 2 - Specialist or Level 3 - Principal Specialist depending upon candidate experience and qualifications. * Basic Qualifications (Level 2 - Specialist): Bachelor's Degree with at least 3-years' experience or a Master's degree with at least 1-year of experience or a High School diploma/equivalent with at least 7-years' experience in supply chain, procurement, purchasing, supplier management, and/or related professional experience
Experience with using Microsoft Office Products including Word, PowerPoint, Excel
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret level clearance Basic Qualifications (Level 3 - Principal Specialist): Bachelor's Degree with at least 6-years' experience or a Master's degree with at least 4-year of experience or a High School diploma/equivalent with at least 10-years' experience in supply chain, procurement, purchasing, supplier management, and/or related professional experience
Experience with using Microsoft Office Products including Word, PowerPoint, Excel
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret level clearance Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree
Aerospace industry experience
Supply Chain or Procurement experience
FAR/DFAR or government contracts experience
Experience using SAP or similar ERP systems Salary Range: $53,500 USD - $80,300 USD
Salary Range 2: $65,800 USD - $98,800 USD Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
