Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a CNI Principal Electronics Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Electronics & Payloads organization. This role is located in Melbourne FL.

The selected candidate will be responsible for design, development, integration, and test of communications systems equipment for a developmental program.
Essential Functions:

  • Support communication and navigation system analysis, design, engineering capture, build, and integration
  • Requirement's development and analysis and supporting trade studies
  • Perform review and analysis of supplier design data, definition of functional test requirements including acceptance, qualification, and system integration, and support test execution
  • Informal and formal testing of subsystem requirements in lab, troubleshooting hardware in the lab
  • Supporting flight test activities and post flight data analysis, and Resolution of flight test anomaliesThe selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels.

    Basic Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of hardware design engineering experience OR Master's Degree in a (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 3 years of experience in the same
    • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret security clearance
    • Must have the ability to obtain Special Program AccessPreferred Qualifications:
      • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering
      • Experience with integration of COTS electronics into military systems
      • Experience with supplier team management
      • Experience with working on a multidisciplinary team and writing technical proposals
      • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management
      • A current, in scope DoD Secret or Top Secret level security clearance Salary Range: $87,600 USD - $131,400 USD

        Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
