Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Senior
Principal Systems Test Engineer to join our team of qualified,
diverse individuals. This position will be located in Melbourne
This is a Deputy lead design Project Engineering position.
- Responsibilities to include the Oversight of development,
integration and documentation of Laboratory systems, electrical
cable designs, Mechanical designs and assemblies for aerospace
- Oversee the Development and integration of wiring designs and
mechanical designs of functional systems.
- Candidate will be responsible to have tasks delivered on time
and within budget.
- Candidate will be expected to interface and present status
presentations with multiple disciplines such as program management,
electrical, mechanical, structures, stress, M&P, procurement,
subcontractors, and manufacturing.
- Familiar with utilizing AutoCAD Electrical, NX Mechanical
design tools and Laboratory Infrastructure.
- Oversee the Creation of block diagrams, wiring diagrams and
detailed assemblies such as cable assemblies, Circuit Breaker
assemblies, Relay assemblies etc.
- Must be familiar using SAE AS 50881 (Mil-5088), additional MIL
specs and proven commercial practices.
The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work

assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels.
-- Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or
Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 9+
years of flight test experience OR
-- Master's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or
Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 7+
years of flight test experience OR
-- PhD Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics
(STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 4+ years of
experience of flight test experience.
-- Must be able to obtain and maintain an active DoD Secret or Top
Secret Security Clearance.
-- Must be able to obtain Special Access Program clearance prior to

-- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability
to interface with all levels of employees and management
-- Experience coordinating and supporting TRR's, FRR's, and SRB's
in support of ground and flight test execution
-- Willing to work additional assignments beyond the defined
requirements of this position
-- Experience with Airworthiness Criteria certification artifact
identification and submittal to satisfy MIL-STD-516
-- Active Top Secret DoD security clearance
