Position Title: Chief Information Officer (CIO)- Company/Industry: fast growing 450M privately held waste management company - Location: South Florida area (Ft. Lauderdale / Pompano Beach)- Compensation: Lucrative base and bonus, long term incentives, generous benefits package, relocation package- Type: Full-time/perm position- Position Id: 1725The RoleThe Chief Information Officer (CIO) will play a crucial role in leading the strategic planning and implementation of information technology systems and processes. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective use of technology to drive business growth, improve operational efficiency, and enhance customer satisfaction.

  • Develop and implement IT strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with senior management to identify opportunities for leveraging technology to gain a competitive edge in the waste industry.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the company's IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, and telecommunications systems. Ensure the availability, security, and scalability of IT resources.
  • Lead establishment and maintenance of robust data management systems and processes.
  • Develop data governance policies and practices to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security. Leverage data analytics to drive insights and make informed business decisions.
  • Drive digital transformation initiatives across the organization. Identify and implement innovative technologies and solutions to streamline operations, improve productivity, and enhance the customer experience.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive cybersecurity program to protect the company's IT assets, including data, networks, and systems.
  • Implement risk management strategies to mitigate IT-related risks and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and technology partners to evaluate, select, and manage IT solutions and services.
  • Negotiate contracts and ensure service level agreements are met.
  • Build and lead a high-performing IT team. Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to team members.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective utilization of resources.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiencies without compromising quality or security to internal and external customers.Competencies critical to this role

    • Performance ManagementQualifications
      • Must have 10+ years experience in the IT industry or data management -- ideally working in one of these industries: waste management, environmental services, manufacturing, or trucking/transportation.
      • Must have 8+ years IT management/leadership experience
      • Must have experience in strategizing and hands-on in architecting enterprise applications (ERP, CRM). Must also have good experience with IT infrastructure, security, and business transformation.
      • Must have good experience in supporting M&A due diligence, and handling post acquisition integration of people, processes, and IT systems/platforms.
      • Must be on-site in South Florida (this is not a hybrid or remote role).
