Growing IT and Engineering Support Contractor in Cape Canaveral is seeking a motivated collaborative individual to join our team as a Financial Analyst. This position requires an individual that can work well in a team environment with an attention to details as well as good written and verbal communication skills. Will perform financial analysis and basic business office tasks to include calculating, posting, and verifying information to obtain financial data for use in maintaining accounting records. Job Duties

• Review expenses for accuracy, correct coding, and government compliance
  • Prepare and post journal entries for accounts payable, billing, and accounts receivable
  • Ensure the accurate processing of all accounts payable payments
  • Reconcile a variety of accounts and reports for ensuring accuracy
  • Prepare invoices to Customers accurately and on time
  • Planning, tracking, analysis, and reporting on projects of varying contract type, size, complexity
  • Ensure all costs against programs and departments are properly recorded, reconciled and analyzed
  • Prepare monthly account reconciliations of balance sheet accounts
  • Respond to government audits
  • Government accounting experience preferred
  • Support and foster team environment by participating in corporate projects requiring financial evaluation Job Requirements: Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field
    • At least 3 years of relevant experience
    • Proficient with desktop office software, with a strong proficiency level in Excel
    • Experience in Deltek Costpoint preferred
    • Exceptional team working skills required
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently
    • Attention to details and problem solving skills
    • Excellent communication skills, demonstrated in both writing and conversation
