Nuance Communications Inc. Position: Senior Principal Systems Analyst (Melbourne, FL) Duties: Perform research, installation, and configuration of
advanced monitoring, automation, and IT Service Management software
solutions. Collaborate with Network Operation Center (NOC) to develop cost
effective solutions that support customer service level agreements.
Provide project leadership and support for DevOps application development.
Interact with Project Manager, Senior Management and vendors on IVR
application projects. Leverage experience with networking technologies including
routers, switches, VPN devices, firewalls, web servers, and IP load
balancers. Analyze deployed solutions and setup monitoring to meet high
SLA requirements. Develop and support robust network monitoring and
management solutions to meet customer requirements. Analyze system failure
to detect or improve NOC visibility. Support live production systems on
call 24x7. Requirements: Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in
Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications
Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field and four (4) years of
experience developing, monitoring, and troubleshooting advanced
monitoring, automation, and IT Service Management software solutions; or in
the alternative, a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in
Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications
Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field and six (6) years of
experience as indicated above. Also requires demonstrated expertise (DE): developing and
deploying monitoring applications to automate solutions on Linux operating
systems (Zenoss and Solarwinds); DE analyzing and monitoring network
layers including TCP/IP and LAN & WAN to troubleshoot and resolve
issues in the production environment; DE leveraging SNMP to configure and
monitor passive and active modes for firewalls, TelcoBridge, ACME SBC and CISCO
VOIP gateway; and DE designing and developing monitoring solutions
based on a wide range of potential metrics, including queries on MySQL and
